After we had discovered the secrets of the Malaysian rainforests, we spent two days in Penang before flying to Bangkok.

Bangkok is full of temples. Some are incredibly old, all are beautiful. Here I am standing outside of the Royal Palace. The palace is amazing. Inside its walls are countless breathtaking buildings and sculptures. This is where Thailand's most sacred treasure is kept - the Jade Buddha.

The Jade Buddha is incredibly important to the Thai people, and as you can see, they've hired some pretty tough guards to protect it.

The Royal Palace was amazing. I took a lot of pictures of it.

Bangkok has many beautiful sights, but the traffic and pollution are terrible. In addition, I was somewhat sick when we arrived there - probably because of bad water from the rainforest. Despite this, the city still impressed me quite a bit. Thai food is the best food in the world, so it helped that there were some really good restaurants around.
